MIA, I know

Oh my gosh! I haven't updated here in forever! I've actually even forgotten about it's existence lol. Life with two little ones sure keeps you busy alhamdulillah! So much has happened over the last 7 months, I will try to be more regular with posting.

Changes

Somehow in the last month or so, since Noah's turned 2, he does not have a complete (or partial) meltdown near bedtime. It's actually great! Alhamdulillah. We've been able to stay out later than usual (the last 2 years, someone has been home with him by 8-830 pm) on special occasions, but generally we don't push it. We like routine because it keeps us sane, lol.

Hana on the other hand does get quite fussy around 8-9 pm but as long as she has her quiet time, she can fall and stay asleep anywhere we are. Noah wasn't able to do that during bedtime. He needed his bed and he needed to be cuddled.

I've also noticed recently that Noah has become fiercely independent, mostly when it comes to feeding. He wants to hold that spoon or fork  ("poon" and "fok" according to him) and feed himself, and if we've tried to take over, he has thrown a tantrum, lol.

I think my big boy is slowly growing up! I suppose my dua was answered after all, alhamdulillah.

2016

Goals for Noah this year:

1) Weaning off the darn bottle for milk !!

2) Relearning to use utensils and becoming independent in regards to eating (which will require a lot of patience from me and everyone. Since Noah is somewhat of a picky eater, everyone feels it's easier to just feed him to make sure he's getting the food down!)

3) andddd being potty trained!!

Cute

Noah has been using the word cute here and there for the last 1-2 weeks. It all started after I called him "so cute" one evening. (He's at the stage where he repeats everything we say, and that's not always such a good thing ifyouknowwhatimean). 

Anyway, today, as we were all dressed and ready to go, he pointed to his sister and called her cute (Hana, cute!"). He then pointed to my dress and said, "momma, cute!" and I swear it was just the cutest (I know, mad repetition! Lol) thing in then world!!!!! I gave him a hug, a kiss and a thank you! Lol. It totally made my morning!

But the funniest had to be when he called HIMSELF cute. Lol.

Blue

For the last two weeks or so, Noah has been OBSESSED with the color blue. It just came out of nowhere! All of a sudden  he noticed the color "blue" everywhere. He would point it out "BLOO! BLOO!!" and scream, smile and laugh. He would only want to wear blue colored shirts, pants and socks (lol) and cry if we handed him anything else. 

Why couldn't he like pink? What a typical boy!
